Privacy policy
Who we are
SSEO is run by Tutku Tashkan, trading as SSEO Agency, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal data described here, which means we decide how and why it is used.
Postal address: Liverpool, United Kingdom. Email: support@sseo.agency.
This policy covers this website, checkout, the client dashboard and the service we provide to subscribers.
What we collect
Account and contact details: your name, email address, company, the websites you connect, your dashboard login, and anything you tell us when you email us.
Billing details: your name, email address, billing address, country, the last four digits and type of your card, and your payment history. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Website and service data: your website's content, keywords and settings, access to the content management systems and social media accounts you connect, and Search Console and analytics data for your website. We use this to plan, publish and measure your content.
Visits to this site: anonymous usage statistics, described below.
How we use it and why we are allowed to
To provide the service you subscribed to: setting up your account, producing and publishing content, giving support, taking payments and sending account, billing and service emails. We do this to perform our contract with you.
To understand which pages and plans work, keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve what we offer. We do this in our legitimate interests, and only in ways you would reasonably expect.
To keep financial and tax records. We do this because the law requires it.
We may email you about new features or offers related to the service you use. Every such email lets you unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you legally or significantly.
Analytics on this site
We measure visits to this site with Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other websites. For each page you view it records the page address, the site that linked you here, your country and region, and your browser, operating system and device type.
To count unique visitors without identifying you, Vercel uses a hash of your request that is discarded after 24 hours. The records are not linked to your name, email address or IP address.
We also count a few actions on our pricing pages: switching between monthly and yearly billing, clicking a plan or call-to-action button, and starting or completing checkout. These events record only the plan, the billing period, the button and the page. We look at the results as totals, to learn which plans and pages work.
Free tools and site checker
When you use the free checker at /check or one of the free tools at /tools, we fetch the public pages of the website you enter. Checker results are stored for 30 days so the results link keeps working; the other tools don't store what you enter. We use your IP address, briefly, to limit how often the tools can be used, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you're not a bot. None of the tools ask for your name or email address.
The tools marked as using Claude send what you enter, and the public text of the page you point them at, to Anthropic, whose AI model Claude writes the result.
Support chat
The chat assistant on this website is answered by Claude, Anthropic's AI model. Your messages are sent to Anthropic to write each reply. We don't store the conversation, and we don't ask for your name or email address in the chat. Please don't share passwords or payment details in it.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. Stripe's checkout pages use cookies to process payments and prevent fraud. The client dashboard uses cookies to keep you signed in and to measure how the dashboard is used so that it can be improved.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the business: payment processing (Stripe), website hosting and analytics (Vercel), data storage for the free tools (Upstash), bot protection (Cloudflare), the AI model behind the free AI tools and the support chat (Anthropic), the platforms we use to produce and publish content and to run the client dashboard, email delivery, and the messaging tools that tell us when a client signs up or changes their plan. They may use your data only to provide their services to us.
Partner websites that place links to your website see your website address, as they would for any link. Professional advisers such as accountants, and authorities when the law requires it. A business that takes over our service, if that ever happens, under this same policy.
International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside the United Kingdom, for example in the European Union or the United States. When they do, the data is protected by a UK adequacy decision, the UK-US data bridge, or contract terms approved by the UK Information Commissioner.
How long we keep it
Account and website data: while your subscription is active and for up to 12 months after it ends, so that we can deal with questions or a returning subscription. Then we delete it. Content already published on your website stays there.
Billing records: as long as UK tax law requires, currently about six years.
Emails with us: up to three years after our last conversation, unless they form part of our billing records.
Security
We protect your data with access controls, encrypted connections and reputable providers, and give access only to people and suppliers who need it to deliver the service.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, send it to you or another provider in a portable format, or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests. Email support@sseo.agency. We reply within one month, and there is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
Children
Our service is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect children's data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If a change matters to you, we will email subscribers before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
